This amendment would restore the right to vote to people serving time in prison for felony convictions in Massachusetts. If approved, incarceration would no longer block someone from voting. The change would expand the number of voters, increase political voice for incarcerated people and the communities they come from, and shift state policy toward treating voting as a basic right that continues during imprisonment.
