This bill stipulates that health insurance policies may offer coverage for sex-reassignment prescriptions or procedures only if they include equivalent coverage for detransition treatments. Additionally, insurers must offer policies that do not include such coverage. Importantly, the legislation prohibits the denial of coverage for mental health services treating gender dysphoria by affirming an insured's birth sex. The bill also bars individuals from changing the gender on their driver’s licenses.
