This bill renews federal child care aid through 2030 and broadens who can qualify. More families could get help, including parents in school, job training, treatment, job search, or family leave, and children facing homelessness, foster or kinship care. States would have to pay providers enough to cover real costs, keep parent copays affordable, improve quality, and offer grants to open, expand, or repair child care sites, especially in shortage areas.
