This budget plan sets Congress’s spending goals for 2027 through 2036. It would steer future bills toward strong funding for defense, health care, Medicare, veterans, transportation, and other services, while assuming large savings elsewhere. It also lets Congress use fast-track budget bills for some policy changes. Even with those targets, yearly deficits and the national debt would keep rising.
