This bill would give Massachusetts residents stronger control over personal data. People could see, correct, delete, and download their data, learn who it was shared with, and opt out of data sales, targeted ads, and important automated decisions. Businesses would have to collect less data, get clear consent for sensitive data like health and location, protect minors, and could not sell sensitive data. The attorney general could enforce fines for violations.
