This bill states that a municipality cannot terminate a Chief of Police without written notice to that Chief of Police. After written notification of termination, the municipality must allow the Chief to appear at a public meeting to provide a response to the termination.

This bill changes current law that states a person must be 21 years of age to purchase a firearm and that a sale or transfer of a firearm to a person younger than 21 cannot be facilitated by a licensed importer, manufacturer, or dealer. The bill changes the age from 21 to 18.

This bill establishes a pilot program in Miami-Dade County to provide comprehensive services to Medicaid beneficiaries with developmental disabilities. This would integrate medical services and home based care into one coverage plan. The pilot program would be required to submit financial reports and have an independent evaluation to measure the performance of this pilot program.

Provides a 28 day ‘back to school’ tax holiday in Jan/July for clothing, computers and school supplies; 14 day ‘disaster prep’ holiday in May; 3 month ‘freedom summer’ holiday in May for camping, fishing and outdoor supplies; 7 day ’Tool Time’ holiday in September; 1 year exemption on appliances and gas stoves.
