AAPI NJ

About the Organization

AAPI NJ is a New Jersey–based advocacy coalition focused on representing and advancing the civic, social, economic, and public-safety interests of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities across the state. The organization organizes community outreach and civic-engagement efforts, responds to anti-Asian incidents, and advocates for state and local policies that expand language access, protect immigrant families, and promote equity in health, education, and economic opportunity.

Policy Goals

Voting rights and civic engagement; anti-hate and hate-crimes prevention; immigrant and language-access services; public-health equity and pandemic response; education equity; workers' economic inclusion; police and criminal-justice reforms affecting AAPI communities.

Funding

Primarily funded through foundation and philanthropic grants, individual donations and community fundraising, and occasional public or contract funding for program services.

Affiliates

Local AAPI community organizations and coalitions across New Jersey and partnerships with national AAPI advocacy groups and community leaders.
