About the Organization

The Alaska Bankers Association is the trade association representing commercial banks, thrifts and associate members in Alaska; it provides industry advocacy, regulatory and legislative representation, member education, industry research and networking to support safe and sound banking and economic growth across the state.

Policy Goals

State and federal banking regulation and supervision, financial services policy, taxation and business climate, community and small-business lending, housing finance and mortgage policy, payments and fintech regulation, cybersecurity and anti-money-laundering compliance, workforce development and economic development initiatives.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues from constituent banks and associate members, plus revenue from conferences, training programs, sponsorships and other member services.

Affiliates

American Bankers Association; Independent community and regional banks in Alaska (for example First National Bank Alaska and Northrim Bank); industry service providers and associate members.
