The Alzheimer’s Association (Florida) is the state chapter of the national Alzheimer’s Association, dedicated to supporting people living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, advancing research, providing caregiver support and education, and increasing public awareness and early detection across Florida.
Advocates for increased state and federal funding for dementia research and services, expanded access to quality long‑term care and home- and community-based services, stronger Medicare/Medicaid coverage for dementia care, caregiver support and respite programs, workforce training for dementia-capable care, protections for long-term care residents, and policies to improve access to clinical trials and early diagnosis.
Primarily funded by individual donations, fundraising events (e.g., Walk to End Alzheimer’s), corporate sponsorships, grants and philanthropic gifts, and bequests.
Affiliated with the national Alzheimer’s Association and frequently partners with Florida state and local health departments, academic medical centers and research institutions, aging and caregiver service organizations, and corporate sponsors and community groups across the state.
