The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) is a nonprofit professional society for emergency physicians. It describes itself as the champion of the emergency physician, focused on high-quality patient care, physician autonomy, fair and equitable practice environments, education, and advocacy for board-certified emergency medicine physicians.
