The American Association of Bioanalysts is a professional association for clinical laboratory directors, laboratory managers and supervisors, medical technologists, and related laboratory professionals. It promotes excellence in clinical laboratory management, education, certification, and representation of its members before government and regulatory bodies.
Clinical laboratory regulation, laboratory quality and proficiency testing, professional certification and education, reimbursement and Medicare/CLIA-related laboratory policy, and state and federal regulatory advocacy affecting laboratory medicine.
Primarily funded by membership dues, educational programs, publications, conferences, certification-related activities, and related service fees.
