About the Organization

The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) is a physician-led medical society dedicated to occupational and environmental medicine. It promotes the health and safety of workers, workplaces, and environments through education, research, clinical guidance, and public policy advocacy.

Policy Goals

Occupational safety and health, workplace injury and illness prevention, environmental health, evidence-based medical practice, disability management, public health workforce training, and related health policy and regulatory issues.

Funding

Primarily member dues, educational program revenue, conferences, publications, sponsorships, and grants.

Affiliates

Occupational and Environmental Health Foundation (OEHF); physicians and other health professionals in occupational and environmental medicine; leadership and volunteer members of ACOEM.
