The American College of Physicians (ACP) is a national professional organization of internal medicine physicians and medical trainees focused on improving health care quality, promoting evidence-based practice, advancing medical education, and advocating for the interests of internists and their patients.
Health care access and affordability, Medicare/Medicaid and payment reform, primary care workforce and training, clinical quality and patient safety, evidence-based clinical guidelines, public health and preventive care (including vaccination and opioid stewardship), health equity and social determinants of health, telehealth and scope-of-practice issues, continuing medical education and licensure policy.
Primarily funded by member dues, professional education and conference revenue, subscriptions and publishing (including the Annals of Internal Medicine), grants and philanthropic contributions, and corporate sponsorships for educational programs.
