The American Dental Association (ADA) is the national professional association for dentists in the United States. Its mission is to help dentists succeed and advance the public’s oral health through evidence-based guidance, education, research, ethics, and advocacy.
Dental workforce issues, oral health access and prevention, public health funding, dental research, insurance and reimbursement, practice regulation, licensure, and federal/state policies affecting the dental profession and patients’ oral health.
Primarily membership dues, along with revenue from publications, educational programs, conferences, products, and related association services.
State and local dental societies through the ADA tripartite system; the ADA Foundation; the Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA); prominent leadership includes the ADA Board of Trustees and House of Delegates.
