The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) is a national trade association that represents the frozen food and beverage industry. Its mission is to advance and protect the interests of frozen food manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics providers by promoting food safety, sustainability, and innovation while advocating for policies that support the growth of the frozen food sector.
AFFI typically engages in federal and state legislative and regulatory policies related to food safety standards, nutrition labeling, agricultural policy, trade and tariffs, transportation and supply chain logistics, environmental and sustainability regulations, and workforce issues affecting food manufacturing.
Funded primarily through membership dues from frozen food manufacturers, suppliers, and industry partners, as well as event sponsorships and industry programs.
Member companies include major frozen food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, packaging companies, and cold chain logistics providers; AFFI also works with federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration.
