About the Organization

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) is a national trade association representing the transportation construction industry. Founded in 1902, its mission is to advance investment in the nation’s transportation infrastructure, including highways, bridges, airports, ports, and public transit systems, to support economic growth and mobility.

Policy Goals

ARTBA advocates for increased federal and state funding for surface transportation infrastructure, long-term highway and transit authorization bills, public-private partnerships, infrastructure financing mechanisms, regulatory reform affecting construction and environmental permitting, and workforce development policies related to the transportation construction industry.

Funding

Membership dues from construction contractors, engineering firms, materials suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and other transportation industry stakeholders, as well as revenue from events and industry programs.

Affiliates

ARTBA Foundation, ARTBA Transportation Development Foundation, state transportation contractor associations, and member companies across the transportation construction sector.
