About the Organization

The American Shrimp Processors Association (ASPA) is a non-profit trade association that represents U.S. wild-caught, warm-water shrimp processors along the Gulf Coast. Its mission is to promote the interests of shrimp processors, support the domestic shrimp industry, and help the industry survive and thrive.

Policy Goals

ASPA typically focuses on fisheries, seafood processing, trade, import competition, food quality and labeling, and state and federal regulatory issues affecting the domestic shrimp industry.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues and industry support from shrimp processors and related businesses.

Affiliates

Member processors across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida; based in Biloxi, Mississippi, with a mailing address in Port Arthur, Texas.
