About the Organization

Americans For Fair Taxation (AFFT), commonly known as FairTax.org, is a grassroots advocacy organization founded in 1995 to promote comprehensive tax reform in the United States. Its primary mission is to replace the federal income tax, payroll taxes, estate taxes, and corporate taxes with a single national retail sales tax known as the "FairTax." The organization conducts research, public education, and legislative advocacy in support of this proposal.

Policy Goals

AFFT advocates for federal tax reform centered on the adoption of a national retail sales tax to replace existing federal income and payroll taxes. It supports legislation such as the FairTax Act and promotes policies aimed at eliminating the Internal Revenue Service, broadening the tax base through consumption taxes, and increasing transparency and simplicity in the federal tax system.

Funding
