The Arkansas Black Gay Men’s Forum (BGM Forum) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and community movement organization founded to empower Black and brown gay, queer, and same-gender-loving people in Arkansas. The group operates community programs and a Utopia Wellness/Empowerment center, provides HIV/STI testing and prevention outreach, hosts Little Rock Black Pride events, and conducts advocacy and community research to advance health, social, and economic equity for Black LGBTQ+ people.
Advocates for health equity and expanded access to HIV prevention, testing, treatment and mental-health services; modernization of HIV criminal laws and related public-health policy; anti-discrimination and LGBTQ civil-rights protections; racial justice and economic equity initiatives that address disparities facing Black LGBTQ+ communities; community-based prevention and harm-reduction programs.
Primarily funded through charitable donations, foundation grants, government/public-health grants and contracts, program service revenue, and event fundraising.
