Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance (API PA) is Pennsylvania’s statewide Asian American and Pacific Islander civil rights and political organization, founded in 2020 to build long-term political power for APIs across the Commonwealth. API PA conducts multilingual voter contact and civic engagement, develops community-driven policy platforms, trains leaders and candidates, and advocates for legislation and government accountability on behalf of Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Pennsylvania.
Advocacy on civil rights and anti-Asian violence prevention, immigrant and refugee protections, language access and culturally competent services, voter registration and electoral engagement, healthcare access, education equity, economic justice, community safety and police accountability, and preservation of cultural institutions.
Primarily grassroots funding including individual donations, membership dues and small-dollar fundraising; also raises funds through its affiliated PAC and solicits grants and partnerships to support programs.
