Associated General Contractors of Washington (AGC of Washington) is the state’s largest commercial-construction trade association, representing general contractors, specialty contractors, suppliers and service providers. AGC of Washington’s mission is to enhance member performance, advocate for the construction industry’s interests, promote jobsite safety and workforce development, and influence public policy affecting commercial construction in Washington state.
Advocacy for public infrastructure funding and public-works contracting rules; procurement and bidding policies for public projects; permitting and land-use reform to speed project delivery; workforce development, apprenticeship and training programs; construction workplace safety and insurance; labor relations and collective-bargaining matters affecting contractors; tax, bonding and liability issues that affect the construction industry.
Primarily funded by member dues and fees, event and conference revenue, sponsorships, training and education program fees, and revenue from member services and insurance/group programs.
Associated General Contractors of America (national organization), the AGC Education Foundation, AGC of Washington district/regional chapters (Seattle, Fife, Bellingham, Yakima), and numerous member construction firms and industry partners across Washington state.
