About the Organization

The Association for Molecular Pathology is a professional scientific society for clinicians, laboratory directors, scientists, technologists, and trainees working in molecular and genomic laboratory medicine. Its mission is to advance the clinical practice, science, and excellence of molecular pathology through education, innovation, and advocacy to improve patient care.

Policy Goals

Health care and laboratory medicine policy, including molecular diagnostic testing standards, laboratory regulation, reimbursement, access to testing, quality assurance, research, and adoption of innovative genomic technologies.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues, educational programs, conferences, sponsorships, and other society activities.

Affiliates

Members and leaders in pathology, clinical laboratory medicine, bioinformatics, infectious disease, inherited conditions, oncology, academic medical centers, community medical centers, government, and industry; affiliated AMP committees, working groups, and international affiliates.
