The Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs (AFOP) is a national nonprofit organization that supports and advocates for programs serving migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for farmworkers and their families by strengthening workforce development, education, health, and housing services.
Workforce development and job training, migrant and seasonal farmworker employment programs, immigration reform, occupational health and safety, education access, and anti-poverty initiatives affecting agricultural workers.
Primarily funded through federal grants and contracts, particularly from the U.S. Department of Labor and other federal agencies, along with private foundation support.
National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP) grantees, U.S. Department of Labor partners, National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association, and various community-based farmworker service organizations.
