The Automotive Anti-Counterfeiting Council (A2C2) is an automotive industry association focused on combating counterfeit vehicle parts and protecting consumers from safety risks associated with fake automotive components. It was formed in 2015 and incorporated in 2016 as a nonprofit 501(c)(6).
Consumer protection, product safety, intellectual property enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, marketplace and e-commerce enforcement, customs and border enforcement, and public awareness campaigns related to counterfeit automotive parts.
Primarily supported by its member North American vehicle manufacturers and their subsidiaries.
North American vehicle manufacturers including General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Subaru, Volkswagen Group of America, and FCA US; partners and government collaborators include NHTSA, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Intellectual Property Rights Center.
