Berkshire Environmental Action Team (BEAT) is a Berkshire County, Massachusetts environmental nonprofit that works through education, stewardship, environmental advocacy, and community science to protect the environment for wildlife and support the natural systems people depend on.
Environmental protection, conservation, clean water, habitat stewardship, climate and clean energy advocacy, anti-pollution efforts, and community-based environmental education and action.
Primarily supported by donations, grants, sponsorships, and program contributions from individuals and institutional supporters.
Founder and board members include Scott McGinnis, Bruce Winn, and Jane Winn; related BEAT programs include No Fracked Gas in Mass and Breathe Easy Berkshires.
