The Better World Campaign is a nonpartisan advocacy organization founded in 1999 that works to strengthen the relationship between the United States and the United Nations. It engages policymakers, the media, and the American public to promote U.S. leadership at the UN and to build support for the UN’s work on global peace, security, development, and humanitarian assistance.
U.S. foreign policy and international relations, including funding for the United Nations, UN peacekeeping operations, payment of U.S. dues and arrears, multilateral diplomacy, and support for international cooperation on global security, development, and humanitarian issues.
Philanthropic funding through the Better World Fund and related support from the United Nations Foundation, originally established with Ted Turner’s $1 billion gift to support UN causes.
