The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury responsible for designing and producing United States paper currency, as well as other secure documents and government securities. Its mission is to develop and manufacture high-quality, secure currency and other products that deter counterfeiting and meet the needs of the Federal Reserve and the American public.
Currency production and design, anti-counterfeiting measures, security printing standards, cash supply infrastructure, and policies related to the integrity and modernization of U.S. paper currency.
