About the Organization

The Center on Faith and Justice is a research and advocacy center founded in 2021 at Georgetown University and led by Rev. Jim Wallis. Inspired by Christian social teaching and rooted in the university’s Jesuit tradition, the center works to integrate faith and public life by advancing racial justice, poverty alleviation, voting rights, and peacebuilding through public forums, leadership development, academic programming, and nonpartisan policy advocacy.

Policy Goals

Racial justice, voting rights and democratic reform, poverty reduction including expansion of the Child Tax Credit, peace and conflict resolution, immigration reform, gun violence prevention, and broader faith-based civic engagement initiatives.

Funding

University support from Georgetown University supplemented by philanthropic contributions and program-related funding.
