Change the Chamber is a youth-led, nonpartisan coalition founded to organize student groups, environmental justice and frontline community organizations around science-based climate action. The group researches and campaigns against corporate and trade association influence (notably the U.S. Chamber of Commerce), pushes for climate education and adaptation measures, and mobilizes young people to influence congressional and corporate decision-making.
Advocates for science-based climate mitigation and adaptation, climate education for students, environmental justice for frontline communities, corporate accountability and transparency (including research on dark money), and youth/student mobilization to influence federal and corporate policy.
Primarily funded through individual donations and philanthropic grants; solicits tax-deductible contributions and relies on grassroots fundraising and foundation support.
A coalition of 100+ campus and community climate groups and environmental justice organizations; member of broader advocacy coalitions such as the Solutions for Pollution Coalition and Declaration for American Democracy; has engaged with major corporations and been amplified by public climate advocates and some elected officials.
