Citizen Action/Illinois is a statewide progressive public interest and political coalition that organizes grassroots power to advance social and economic justice in Illinois; it works on campaigns and legislative advocacy to expand healthcare access, protect public services, promote fair taxes, defend workers' rights, strengthen democracy and consumer protections, and mobilize voters.

Mix of membership dues and small-dollar donors, grants and contributions from progressive foundations, event revenue, and significant financial support from organized labor (notably AFSCME and other unions)
