The Colorado Association of Wheat Growers (CAWG) is a statewide membership organization representing Colorado wheat producers. Founded in the early 1940s and incorporated in 1950, CAWG advocates on behalf of its members at the Colorado General Assembly and the U.S. Congress, promotes policies to enhance the profitability and sustainability of wheat farming, and works to protect and advance the state’s wheat industry.
Agricultural and commodity policy, including federal farm bill programs, crop insurance, conservation initiatives, research funding, wheat marketing and trade, and state and federal regulatory issues affecting wheat producers.
Membership dues from wheat producers, sponsorships, and industry support.
