About the Organization

The CRE Finance Council (CREFC) is a nonprofit trade association representing the commercial real estate finance industry. Founded in 1994 and headquartered in New York with offices in Washington, D.C., it serves lenders, investors, servicers, rating agencies, and other market participants. CREFC promotes liquidity, transparency, and efficiency in commercial real estate finance markets through legislative and regulatory advocacy, development of industry standards and best practices, research, education, and major industry conferences.

Policy Goals

Federal legislative and regulatory policies affecting commercial and multifamily real estate finance, including capital markets regulation, securitization, lending standards, tax policy, risk retention, sustainability and property resilience, and measures that promote market liquidity and capital formation.

Funding

Membership dues, conference and event fees, sponsorships, and industry programs.

Affiliates

CREFC Europe, CREFC Japan, and member firms including commercial mortgage lenders, securitized lenders, private equity firms, institutional investors, servicers, and rating agencies.
