Consumers Council of Missouri is a Missouri-based consumer advocacy organization that educates and organizes consumers and advocates for their collective interests, especially on utility rates, health care access, personal finance, and related consumer protection issues.
Consumer protection, utility affordability and regulation, energy equity, health care access, personal finance, medical debt, and other issues affecting low- and moderate-income consumers.
Primarily supported by membership dues, individual donations, grants, and fundraising contributions.
Founded by consumer advocates Alberta Slavin and Joyce Armstrong; current leadership includes Executive Director Ed Bryant and advocacy staff such as Jacqueline Hutchinson, Shuron Danielle Jones, George Robnett, and Missy Hilboldt.
