About the Organization

Democracy Defenders Action (DDA) is a bipartisan advocacy organization that mobilizes legal, communications, and grassroots resources to combat authoritarian threats, defend the rule of law, protect elections, and fight corruption in the United States. Formed after January 6, 2021, it pursues rapid-response litigation, public campaigns, and state-level partnerships to safeguard democratic institutions.

Policy Goals

Election administration and integrity; defending certification and vote counting; anticorruption and ethics reforms; rule-of-law and oversight measures; litigation and rapid-response legal interventions; civic education and media/civic space support; state-level democracy protection efforts

Funding

Primarily funded by private donors and philanthropic grants, including small-dollar online contributions processed through ActBlue, with additional support and coordination from affiliated political accounts and fundraising vehicles
