The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States, a member-led political organization that promotes democratic socialism and progressive social change through activism, education, and electoral organizing.
DSA typically supports policies such as Medicare for All, labor and workplace power, housing justice, reducing the influence of money in politics, environmental and climate justice, immigrant rights, anti-war and anti-imperialist policies, racial and gender equality, and other democratic socialist reforms.
Primarily funded by member dues, donations, and contributions to affiliated fundraising entities such as the DSA Fund.
Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA), local DSA chapters, the DSA Fund, and affiliated caucuses and working groups; prominent public figures associated with DSA include Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
