Democratic Women's Club

About the Organization

A local or regional grassroots organization that organizes Democratic-identifying women to increase political participation, recruit and support female candidates, and advocate for policies advancing gender equity and progressive priorities at the municipal, state, and national levels.

Policy Goals

Typically advocates for reproductive rights, equal pay and workplace equity, access to affordable healthcare and childcare, voting rights and civic engagement, anti-discrimination and LGBTQ+ protections, education funding, and support for Democratic candidates and campaigns.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues, small-dollar individual donations and local fundraising events; may receive in-kind support from local Democratic committees and occasional contributions from aligned civic or advocacy groups.

Affiliates

Local and state Democratic Party organizations, Democratic elected officials and candidates, and aligned women's and progressive advocacy groups at the local and state level.
