Detroit Action is a Detroit-based grassroots, member-led community organizing group focused on building political power for working-class residents, especially Black and Brown Detroiters. Its mission centers on fighting poverty, advancing justice, and promoting human development through neighborhood-driven organizing and civic engagement.
Housing justice, economic justice, youth organizing, inclusive democracy, civic engagement, education justice, criminal justice reform, worker voice, and related anti-poverty and community power policies.
Primarily supported by donations and grants through its affiliated nonprofit entities, including contributions to its 501(c)(4), 501(c)(3) education fund, and super PAC; it also reports fiscal sponsorship through Tides Advocacy.
