The Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC) is a Michigan-based public organization created in 2005 to serve as a statewide leader in early childhood development. Established through an interlocal agreement under Michigan law, ECIC works to increase public and private investment in children from prenatal through age five, strengthen Michigan’s early childhood system, and ensure that all young children and their families have the opportunity to thrive and succeed in school and life.

Primarily funded through federal and state government appropriations, supplemented by private philanthropic and corporate support through the ECIC Foundation
