Economic Action Maryland Fund is a statewide Maryland nonprofit focused on economic justice, consumer protection, housing justice, and financial inclusion. It uses research, advocacy, consumer education, and direct service to advance economic rights for working families, low-income communities, and communities of color.
Consumer protection, debt and credit reform, medical debt protections, housing justice, tenant rights, fair lending, economic inclusion, and policies that reduce poverty and expand economic opportunity.
Primarily supported by individual donations, philanthropic grants, and contributions that fund its nonprofit advocacy and direct-service work.
Formerly known as the Maryland Consumer Rights Coalition; closely associated with Economic Action Maryland, its sister 501(c)(4) advocacy organization. Public-facing leadership includes Executive Director Marceline White and staff/board leadership.
