Farm to Institution New England (FINE) is a six-state network that works to strengthen the regional food system by increasing the amount of locally produced food served in institutions such as schools, hospitals, and colleges across New England. The organization supports collaboration among farmers, institutions, policymakers, and community organizations to build a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable food system.
FINE typically supports policies that promote local and regional food procurement, farm-to-school and farm-to-institution programs, agricultural viability, food system equity, public health nutrition, and state and federal funding for local food infrastructure and supply chain development.
