Florida Policy Institute is a Florida-based nonprofit research and advocacy organization that produces policy research, data analysis, and public education aimed at advancing economic opportunity and equity across the state. The institute focuses on informing lawmakers, community leaders, and the public on state budget and tax decisions, health care access, education, voting rights, and criminal-justice and workforce issues.
State-level budget and tax policy, economic opportunity and anti-poverty initiatives, Medicaid and health-care access, K–12 and postsecondary education policy, voting rights and civic engagement, criminal-justice reform, and workforce development.
Primarily supported by foundation grants and philanthropic donations, supplemented by individual donors and revenue from reports and events.
Works in partnership with progressive state and national advocacy groups, community organizations, and policy networks; collaborates with labor and civic coalitions on shared policy goals.
