The Florida AFL-CIO is the statewide federation of labor unions in Florida affiliated with the national AFL-CIO. It coordinates union activity across the state, advocates for collective bargaining and pro-worker laws, organizes member mobilization and education, and conducts legislative and political work to advance wages, benefits, workplace safety and economic justice for working families.
Collective bargaining protections and union organizing, living-wage and minimum wage increases, workplace health and safety, unemployment insurance and workers' compensation, retirement and pension security, affordable healthcare and paid leave, opposition to 'right-to-work' measures, endorsement and mobilization of pro-worker political candidates, and state-level labor and economic-justice legislation.
