About the Organization

The Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) is a statewide trade association representing residential builders, remodelers, developers and allied industry professionals. FHBA's stated mission is to support a healthy housing industry by providing advocacy, education, professional standards, and member services that promote safe, affordable housing and responsible development across Florida.

Policy Goals

Typically pursues legislative and regulatory policies affecting housing supply and affordability, building codes and standards, permitting and land‑use/zoning, contractor licensing and regulation, workforce development and training, tax and incentive measures for development, infrastructure funding, and disaster‑resilience/insurance issues that impact home building.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues, event and conference registration fees, sponsorships and advertising, and revenue from professional education and certification programs.

Affiliates

National Association of Home Builders (NAHB); local county and regional Florida HBA chapters; affiliated state PACs and industry partner organizations.
