Description: Floridians for Reproductive Freedom is a statewide coalition, formed in 2016, that educates and advocates for convenient, affordable, and safe access to the full range of reproductive health care in Florida, including abortion, contraception, and evidence-based sex education. The coalition conducts research and public education, exposes and challenges anti-abortion programs and “fake clinics,” and works to protect reproductive privacy and related ballot and legislative measures. Type: Non-profit coalition / advocacy organization Policies: Promotes policies to protect and expand abortion access, contraceptive access, and comprehensive medically accurate sex education; opposes public funding and legitimization of anti-abortion pregnancy centers; defends Florida's constitutional privacy protections for reproductive decision-making; organizes and supports ballot campaigns and legislative advocacy to restore or preserve reproductive rights; monitors judicial and administrative actions that affect reproductive health care. Funding: Primarily funded by member and partner organizations, individual grassroots donations, and grants from allied foundations and philanthropic supporters. Affiliates: Works in coalition with Planned Parenthood affiliates and other reproductive health providers in Florida, Progress Florida, Tampa Bay Abortion Fund, A Woman’s Choice of Jacksonville, the Florida Healthy Youth Alliance, and numerous local reproductive justice and advocacy groups.
