Fund Our Schools is a statewide Virginia coalition of parents, students, educators and community organizations launched in December 2019 that advocates to fully and fairly fund K–12 public education across the Commonwealth, with an emphasis on staffing, educator compensation, special education supports and racial equity.
K–12 school funding adequacy and equity, increased staffing and counselor ratios, fair educator pay and benefits, targeted supports for high‑poverty and special education students, opposition to public dollars for private school vouchers and related privatization efforts.
Primarily supported by member nonprofit organizations and philanthropic foundation grants; hosted and provided with staffing and infrastructure by the Legal Aid Justice Center; supplemented by small individual donations and in‑kind contributions from partners.
