GenderNexus is an Indiana-based nonprofit founded in 2014 that provides free support, care coordination, peer groups, education, and legal/medical navigation for transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people and their families, with a mission to empower gender-diverse individuals to lead healthy, authentic, and joyful lives.
Advocates for transgender and gender-diverse rights including nondiscrimination protections, access to gender-affirming health care, school and workplace inclusion policies, streamlined legal name and gender marker changes, family and caregiver supports, and community mental health resources.
Primarily funded through foundation grants and philanthropic donations, supplemented by small grants and community fundraising.
Partners and collaborators include ACLU Indiana, CenterLink, Damien Center, Indiana Youth Group, Indy Pride, Lambda Legal, The Trevor Project, Trinity Haven; Executive Director Emma Vosicky is a prominent organizational leader.
