The Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) is a statewide trade association representing Georgia’s ornamental and environmental horticulture industry, including wholesale nursery growers, greenhouse operators, landscape and irrigation contractors, retail garden centers, and allied businesses. Its mission is to promote and advance the economic, lifestyle, and environmental benefits of Georgia horticulture through advocacy, legislative monitoring, education, certification programs, trade shows, and industry networking.
State and federal legislative and regulatory policies affecting horticulture, agriculture classification, water stewardship and drought management, sales tax exemptions for agricultural inputs, environmental and natural resource regulations, labor and business regulations impacting landscape and nursery operations, and industry certification standards.
