The Grand Canyon Trust is a nonprofit conservation organization focused on protecting and restoring the Colorado Plateau and Grand Canyon region through science-based advocacy, policy work, land protection, legal action, and community and tribal partnerships.
Public lands and wilderness protection, river and watershed restoration, opposition to mining and large-scale fossil fuel development near the Grand Canyon (including uranium), support for tribal sovereignty and culturally informed land management, and regional climate and clean-energy policy advocacy.
Primarily funded by foundation grants and individual donors, supplemented by membership contributions and philanthropic gifts.
Works in partnership with regional and national conservation organizations, local community groups and tribal nations; frequent collaborators include groups such as the Sierra Club, The Wilderness Society, and National Parks Conservation Association.
