The Hawaiʻi Farm Bureau is a statewide grassroots nonprofit membership organization founded in 1948 to serve as Hawaiʻi’s voice of agriculture. Representing approximately 2,000 member families across multiple county farm bureaus, it works to protect, advocate for, and advance the social, economic, and educational interests of farmers and ranchers while promoting agricultural sustainability and food production in the state.
Agricultural land use preservation, water rights and rate structures, state and county agricultural marketing programs, tax policy affecting farmers and ranchers, pesticide awareness, disaster relief and recovery, regulatory and legislative advocacy, and support for local food production and export promotion.
Primarily funded through membership dues, program revenues, grants, sponsorships, and charitable contributions, including support through its affiliated foundation.
County Farm Bureaus throughout Hawaiʻi, the American Farm Bureau Federation, the Hawaiʻi Farm Bureau Foundation, and partnerships with organizations such as the Hawaiʻi Agricultural Foundation and local agricultural stakeholders.
