About the Organization

INCOMPAS is a national trade association founded in 1981 that advocates for competitive communications, broadband, streaming, technology and AI infrastructure markets. Its mission is to promote policies that foster competition, innovation, investment and consumer choice across wireline, wireless and cloud networks and to represent entrepreneurial and competitive providers before Congress, the FCC and other regulators.

Policy Goals

Competition and antitrust policy for telecom and internet markets, broadband deployment and permitting reform, spectrum access and shared use, Universal Service Fund reform, robocall mitigation and numbering policy, AI and data infrastructure policy, energy and infrastructure issues that affect data centers and networks

Funding

Primarily membership dues from telecommunications, broadband, data center and technology companies, plus conference and event sponsorships and related program revenue

Affiliates

The Competition and Innovation Institute / AI Competition Center (affiliated 501(c)(3)), member companies and sponsors such as Granite Telecommunications and DC BLOX, board leadership and advisors including CEO Chip Pickering and former FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn

Legal Structure

Trade association (501(c)(6)) with an affiliated 501(c)(3) research arm
